Meet Mike Turner!
Hi, I’m Mike Turner — a long-time driving instructor with a genuine passion for helping people feel confident and safe on the road. I first started teaching in 1988 and have been part of NRMA Driver Training since it began in 2007. Alongside my driver training career, I also studied Medicine, majoring in Podiatry, giving me a strong understanding of mobility, safety, and the individual needs of my students.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching thousands of drivers — including many with disabilities — and supporting them as they work towards independence. As an Accredited Older Driver Assessor, I’m known for my patient, compassionate, and respectful approach. My goal is always to make every assessment and lesson feel comfortable, supportive, and personalised.

Booking is easy.
STEP 1
Medical & Eyesight
Before booking with us, please visit your GP for a medical and eyesight check.
Your doctor will send the results to the RTA, and once that’s done, you can book your senior driving assessment.

Fill in your details, choose your lesson, and add your driver’s licence number and driver’s card number.

We have three options available, depending on what you need.

Driving Refresher - $90
A refresher lesson is a great way to update your road-rule knowledge, sharpen your driving skills, and get personalised guidance that suits your experience and needs.
60 Minutes

Driving Assessment - $100
This formal driving assessment is required by Service NSW (RTA) as you approach your 85th birthday. It helps ensure you can continue driving safely and with confidence. After your first assessment, you’ll need to complete one every two years.

Driving Refresher & Assessment - $145
This session begins with a relaxed 30-minute check-in to see how confident you feel and where you might benefit from a little extra support, followed by a 60-minute formal driving assessment to update your skills and road-rule knowledge.
